My name is Alston, a real person and I am factory trained Certified Toyota Product Advisor with Nation's No.1 volume dealer in the west coast for six years. My areas of knowledge and expertise include automotive sales and leasing, vehicle finance and insurance, retail and wholesale, auctions and appraisals.

My inspiration to create this site is based on dissatisfaction of the misleading information on the internet. There's a handful of site that are written NOT by automotive professionals, yet they tell you to follow their advice.

And the other half of sites out there just want you to click and buy some product that you don't even know what's for. No wonder people are NOT informed with the information and arrived at the dealership unprepared.

The good news is the advice and tips on this site are written by real automotive professionals, they are based on REAL WORLD day in day out work experience. So you can rely on our knowledge and expertise to become a savvy car buyer.

So Where Do We Start?

At the beginning, I started with Used Car Values Since this is the most confusing topic of all! There weren’t many sites out there explaining to people CLEARLY how to properly assess the value of used vehicles.

People either think dealer offers too low, or often times over estimated the car values.

Most of the FREE vehicle pricing guide online is in favor of car dealers: lower than actual trade in value and higher than retail value. Some used car dealers are making outrageously high profit with a way under valued trade-in vehicles, and that's where I am coming from: to tell people the TRUTH and TEACH some skills to protect your heart and wallet.

Then I realize it makes sense to expand the topic beyond just values and prices. Based on my professional experience, I further talk about buying and selling personal used cars for pleasure or profit.
